She closed her eyes. Breathed in deep and filled her lungs with the reek of bone-dust and decay. Reached out and wove her own life-force into the web of shadow-no, the Rune, of course, she could see the shape of it now-til she felt her heart beat in time with the rhythm of the splintering blows of blade and club and axe around her, in time with the wingbeats of the hungry spirits that circled above. She reached down, down into the icy black pit, reached through the deepest core of herself, and beyond, into the darkness that was inside Ben Solo, that was Kylo Ren, gripped the churning roiling mass of thought and memory and emotion she felt there, and pulled.

Rey’s eyes, later, stealing the Dark from him, stealing his breath away. Such beauty! Such Power! She’d smote him then. Totally unprepared for her attack: fierce, threatening his life, but more than that: igniting his soul. Like a candle in the dark. More than a candle. And here she was, washing his armpits, when he should be worshipping at her knees. His heart beat wildly and she stopped and frowned. “Stop that,” she told him. “What?” Could she hear him? Was the bond still active? He knew it was, he could feel the root where it started in his chest, but it was still pinched off by the cuffs. Like an artery. “Whatever you’re doing. Stop it.” He was about to retort, but held silent. Whatever he was ‘doing’, it was getting to her. She got up to wash his hands, and the soapy water made his scrapes sting and burn… but was no distraction from staring at her crotch, inches away from his face. Tight leggings, revealing the lines of her basics. Her damn scarf swung in front of her mons, hiding its shape from him. He wondered what it would taste like. “Stop it.” What? Oh. Oh.

He moved his hand over to her other breast, squeezed it; she moaned into his mouth, breathed his breath. Her own hand caressed his naked pecs. Weeks of teasing, they’d barely touched each other. He felt her over her jumpsuit, reaching down her flank to her crotch. rubbing there, hard, insistent. Arousing. Making a mess in her basics. A flash of heat and she undid the collar clasp, grasped his hand and put it on her throat, her heart pulsing against his thumb for a moment before he realized he was to tear the fastening open, to free her from the flight-suit. It opened with a loud crackle, and he slipped his hand in to grasp her breast. The feel of her skin felt as real as if they were actually together; the Force enabled their forbidden contact, having decided they were something akin to the Prime Jedi. One Being. Dark and Light, Death and Life, Man and Woman.
