the challenge for insurance companies is that, for things like this, they need to be able to verify it (people will lie about what they've done, forget to do things, etc) and that verification needs to be cheap enough to make sense. verification can be really expensive.

im not declaring reduction of risk methods don't help, but ultimately these are pretty small measures. most houses don't any real wildfire risk at all, so these wildfire risk houses are inevitably going to need to pay a lot extra in premium to reflect those risks, regardless of these measures.
