Police logs from that year document a national panic attack as folks thought the story was a true newscast.

He is from our diocese. From my mother’s church. We just celebrated being together at our clergy conference two weeks ago. I did not think it possible that I could be more angry about ICE but here we are.
Please call local and federal officials—this is happening everywhere.
NEW from me: An Episcopal priest — a Kenyan national who works with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice — has been detained by ICE, says diocese.

The area bishop, reached via email, told me church officials still “do not know yet why he was targeted.” religionnews.com/2025/11/02/e...

The scenes of this disaster break my heart. Are there local organizations that are best suited to receive donations and turn them into aid?
These are mostly indigenous communities in Alaska that have been slammed by the storm.

The local manager of a small airline fleet says he is the only one doing evacuations right now!

Defund FEMA and people are abandoned. Defund public media and no-one knows.

FYI, today is Indigenous Peoples Day.

Following Jesus and his disciples, we’ve picked up on some recurrent themes that were important to Luke and the community to which he was writing.

13th Sunday after Pentecost Proper 18, Year C Sept. 7, 2025 Well, my first thought upon reading today’s Gospel was that Jesus really could have used a PR manager. If he was hoping to recruit disciples and rally the crowd to his cause, turning to a large gathering of people whose culture was rooted in the importance of family only to tell them they needed to hate their family, this was not exactly the way to go about it.
