I have a lot more to say about this, but I'm too lazy right now, all you need to know Kanade’s just #her and a generational character man.

Like I'm sorry, but if you think Mutsumi's struggles should be completely resolved by Ep. 7 or that it's "dumb" or somehow unrealistic for alters to have multiple instances of in-fighting then I don't think you haven't taken the time to understand how DID actually works.

or simply don’t make an effort to engage with it respectfully. The more you read them, the clearer, there is a lack of awareness toward systems and what it means to represent them thoughtfully in media or straight up don't see the subject matter as serious as they should.

Although Iwl, she has more powerful vocal as Setsuna, I do prefer Kanade's unique softer vocal a bit more. Though Kusunoki Tomori's vocal range is crazy in general, I'm kind of obsessed.

Perhaps Mutsumi took on whatever roles society needed her to fill, believing it was the only way she could earn their love but the cruel irony is that this self-effacing adaptability bred not affection, but disgust. When you become everything for everyone, you're just nothing.

The child becomes part of a performance, rather than a relationship, which implies a rather cruel reality to Mutsumi's own performative identity as a child. It reads as a follow up defense mechanism, shaped by fear that if she fails to fulfill, she’ll be discarded

It's really interesting how it depicted a very different kind of parental relationship yet uncomfortably real where some parents keep their child because society expects them to. Having a child can be part of a "normal" or respected public image, especially in social circles.
