The Catcliffe Glass Cone in #Rotherham. Dating all the way back to 1740, it is the earliest surviving example of its type in Western Europe. It remained in use until 1901 and even housed prisoners in WW1!!

Visited the absolutely mind-blowing #GreaOrme #BronzeAge Copper Mines on Monday. Could have stayed there for a lot longer, but the journey homeward beckoned. Only 5% of what is down there has actually been uncovered. Can't wait for what is to come 😍

Just over 11 miles today to see Caer y Twr #IronAge hillfort from Holyhead Mountain summit and Penrhos Feilw Standing Stones. Didn't visit the hut circles (Cytiau Tŷ Mawr) as the blanked off stile and closed gate didn't look too welcoming 😬
