After the rollerskating fad faded away, these creatures found homes in the many discarded skates. Being somewhat rare, researchers have not managed to learn why only female Retroll end up evolving.

The water in their heads is hot enough to boil an egg and can get even hotter when it gets angry. When threatened, the water can erupt at a speed that can even break the sound barrier.
