On Saturday, Arizona pro wrestling legend, the Navajo Warrior, ended his 35-year career in a match against Samoa Joe.

I’m honored to have been asked to design and illustrate the poster for the event. It was inspired by the 1962 King Kong vs Godzilla movie poster.

Every copy sold out at the show.

Wave 2 had Rogue in an X-Men uniform that never appeared in the film. The figure was actually a repaint of the Secret Weapon Force Rogue, which was based on that 1997 storyline where some X-Men wore Shi'Ar space outfits designed by Joe Madureira, with the Anna Paquin head from the wave 1 Rogue.

This line had a couple other weird choices. Like, the first releases of Jean Grey and Storm had insane cleavage. For the 2nd releases, some black paint was added to the figures' chests to act as brassieres, and Jean was given a new head with her hair in a ponytail.

Also: that Senator Kelly. Ew.

Remember when Toy Biz made a Professor X figure that looked like Patrick Stewart, but made the leg joints so loose that the figure actually couldn't stand up?

Like, I know Xavier is canonically usually wheelchair-ridden, but they CHOSE to give him wobbly legs.

Brutal.

“Alexander,” but, yea. Rusev had a first name. As did Adrian Neville.

Finally saw Garbage for the first time last night, and now I get to go thru today on four hours of sleep.

Totally worth it.

Happy Halloween! Here's me being weird over the years.

All of these came from trade credit at a used bookstore. I cleared out a bunch of stuff I wasn’t gonna read again, and ended up with all these used DVD/BR movies. The corporations behind these releases got $0 from me.

linktr.ee/atomicmonsoon -- Steph had never seen The Last Unicorn, so we watched it together and recorded a podcast about it on @atomicmonsoon.bsky.social ! Follow that link and listen on the platform of your choice!

Below: Fan art I did of the movie back in 2018.

God, this is why I miss Gamepro magazine’s rating system. It wasn’t perfect, but at least you could get a general idea for what you were getting into, outside of all the fanboy hype and developer BS.

They would tell you if a game was of a Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, or Adjustable difficulty

Been working on this a little bit at a time for the last couple of weeks. I think she’s done.

So. Hall was always BILLED at 6’7”, but WWE is known for exaggerating body mass (Rey Mysterio was 5’3” in WCW but 5’7” in WWE). Hall was probably at least 6’5”

Nash was always billed at “nearly 7 feet,” but has admitted that he’s “only” 6’10”

For comparison, Hogan was also always billed at 6’7”

I dunno what Hall’s acting ability was like outside of Wrestling promos, but he DEFINITELY had the look.

Even if he was maybe a bit tall, at 6’7”

Back in 2010? 2011? @dannyduoshade.bsky.social got me this Mummy Boy vinyl for a repaint competition/gallery thing that @officialsuper7.bsky.social were holding. The unsold ones were supposed to be sent back, but I never got mine back, nor payment. Weird!

"Stand firm for what you believe in, until and unless logic and experience prove you wrong. Remember, when the emperor looks naked, the emperor IS naked. The truth and a lie are not 'sort of the same thing.' And there is no aspect, no facet, no moment of life that can't be improved with pizza."

I curated my own music collection and ripped all the CDs to digital formats myself and loaded them onto my phone. Now I have music wherever I go, and don’t need an Internet connection, nor do I pay a monthly fee to a company scams artists by paying fractions of a cent per play.
