Let’s survive this 1000-alarm fire together. Also, not to be morbid, but if you’re going to protest—get a will, health care proxy & power of attorney. If you’re unable to act, you’ll want to appoint someone you trust to act for you. (Free legal advice.)

These are only the cases we’re seeing. Imagine the cases that are swept under the rug and don’t see the light of day. ICE and DHS are torturing and neglecting Americans every single day. Do not forget Randall Gamboa’s name.

instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

To be clear: the deal they voted on to move forward last night still needs to be formally voted on in the Senate and House. If the eight are your senators, they should be hearing from you this morning!

When you can’t afford healthcare, blame Democrats Dick Durbin and Jeanne Shaheen, who are both retiring. Blame Senators John Fetterman, and Maggie Hassan who are up for reelection in 2028, and Tim Kaine, Jacky Rosen and Angus King who are up in 2030. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...

To me among the most infuriating parts about the healthcare debate and ACA credits is this would not be an issue if we were like every developed country on Earth and GUARANTEED HEALTHCARE AS A HUMAN RIGHT.

We'd pay half per capita what we're paying now, have more coverage, & longer life expectancy.
November 10, 2025 at 1:54 AM
Q: Will you assure House Democrats they'll get a vote on ACA subsidies by a date certain?

MIKE JOHNSON: Ah -- no. I'm not promising anyone anything.

Maybe important to note it was the disruption in air travel that Democrats couldn't stand and not, you know, 40+ million people not knowing where their next meal was coming from.
November 10, 2025 at 1:13 AM
We polled Indivisible members over the weekend on whether Dems should take a deal or keep fighting for the ACA subsidies. Results: 98.67% said keep fighting.

Dems who vote to surrender now are fracturing their own party in a way that will reverberate loudly in the primaries.
So Democrats get:

1. A CR that will prevent the GOP from facing the wrath of Americans for a shutdown over the holidays

2. A coupon for one (1) meaningless ACA vote that will fail

3. An end to the illegal RIF/SNAP moves that are already before the courts

Those all seem like wins for the GOP.

Talk to @schumer.senate.gov and the others thinking of caving. It clearly won’t end well.
Know this, @schumer.senate.gov — if you cave, we will not rest until you are primaried and wrested from your seat. When kids on SNAP aren’t being fed, we’re even more hungry for justice. New York has shown you the people’s power just days ago. You *could* join with us, still, and do the right thing.

Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Thank you @warren.senate.gov & @markey.senate.gov for not caving.

Please let your colleagues know that voters will remember it if they cave now.
