I was honored w/ a Legislators of the Year award today from the Colorado Association of Libraries for our work to ensure youth have the freedom to read. Colorado will remain a state where banning books bc you 👎🏽 with the subject matter is illegal. Books by & about diverse communities will remain!

The Republican triggered special session starts tomorrow. Trump’s bill, that Colorado Republicans supported is costing you even more. They threw our balanced budget out of whack, gave corporations and the wealthy billions and are forcing working families and those living in poverty to foot the bill.

@govofco, when ICE asks you via an admin request to turn over PII for unaccompanied minor and their sponsors to “protecting them from trafficking and abuse,” remember that ICE is trafficking and abusing children. Don’t kiss the ring of a wannabe king, stand up against tyranny and protect Coloradans!
