Wild en groen! Paar vaste struiken (allemaal inheems) en verder een combinatie van een gezaaid bloemenmensel en planten die aan zijn komen waaien.

We also looked at some brilliant objects from the Special Collections: from medieval manuscripts to Ethiopian talismanic texts, and from Arabic writing boards to Indonesian palm-leaf manuscripts. Why did the makers choose certain materials? How does this influence our experience of the object? 2/3

Maarten saw his first medieval manuscripts yesterday! As he likes to put everything he sees into his mouth, we opted for some behind glass (although eating manuscripts is in itself a very medieval habit, it's not the best way to start solids).
