one day i woke up and realised i didn't need to be following a bunch of people who post evals and research papers and shit i don't find interesting or accessible.
Following them wouldn't make me seem smarter. I wasn't going to be singled out as "such a smart human with discerning taste in follows".

one of my favourite little games is to wear a MongoDB shirt to the climbing gym and when someone invariably asks me something about databases or MySQL whatever nerd crap I just say "what's a database"
