A simple sign calls us to dig deep and see who we really are. Although many of us have not been touched by harm, we are at that point where we can save our future or allow it to be another era of suffrage. Ask yourselves the hard question? Will you step outside of your comfort zone?

I am devastated to hear the news of Zakir Hussain's passing. He was a true legend, an icon of Indian Classical music who transcended borders. Far beyond that, he was an incredible, deeply spiritual and humble man who always made known that he saw the divine in you. May you rest in peace, sir.

I remember a time when presidents didn’t get to confess to sexually assaulting dozens of women, and be found liable for raping one, and get convicted of lying about paying another, and attempting a coup.
This is what has me so crazy about Kash Patel. Everyone has jumped right to the merits of Patel and no one has even paused to say, “Presidents don’t get to fire the FBI director without paying a huge political price.”
There seems to be a vast under-appreciation for the lines we’ve crossed and the world we’re in.

Trump’s win has basically put us in a post-rules world.

People in power don’t feel constrained by rules and any remaining checks don’t feel empowered to be checks.

This reality has not set in yet.

Quote of the Day

“This is precisely the time when artists go to work. There is no time for despair, no place for self-pity, no need for silence, no room for fear. We speak, we write, we do language. That is how civilizations heal.”
