It is 106° outside, and I just made Samoa Shortbread....
I substituted the corn syrup with molasses and the coconut extract with vanilla.
They are VERY rich, and one bite is absolutely enough

Not bad. Used flax seed instead of egg and a whole package of Ghirardelli 60% cocoa chocolate chips. I do think they are missing something.... just not sure what.

Isn't it wonderful how tiny fuzzy creatures can completely change your day?
This little one has been sitting peacefully on the seat across from me on the bus. I have not pet them, or interacted with them in any way but looking and my day is infinitely better ❤️

One of the perks of working fancy events is pilfering the flowers at the end of the night. Usually, I am not a fan of cut flowers, but if they are going to go to waste anyway, they might as well brighten my home for a day or two.
