“Ukraine’s experience since February 2022 has upended long-held assumptions about the economics of war — from the belief that size and industrial capacity are a guarantee of victory to misunderstandings about mobilisation, logistics and adaptability.”
Ukraine, Europe and the new economics of war
By maintaining stability and innovating to hold out against Russia, Kyiv has shown that size matters less in conflict than it used to

Faced with Trump's 30% tariff, the EU urgently needs a comprehensive map of its retaliatory options; ranging across goods, services, IP, digital, finance & people-to-people measures (including their cost to Europe).

Fortunately, we @ecfr.eu have already published that map:

Bluesky's near-consensus that AI doesn't work and won't be a technology that has major knock-on effects on society is…not grounded in reality. No mater how loudly and repetitively people say it.
I’m just a tech critic, standing in front of other tech critics, asking them to please stop insisting that the AI hype bubble is totally gonna collapse any minute now.

Your confidence is making it harder for the rest of us. It may be what your audience wants to hear, but that doesn’t make it true.

This is a great read, on how Trump’s foreign policy mirrors his domestic policy.
The only criticism I have is that I think he does have some foreign policy views (like spheres of influence) that don’t stem from domestic politics. But still, very insightful.
