yep birdcage is amazing. Great shmup that rework Radiant Silvergun's sword into something more aggressive. The presentation is amazing.
I 1CC the easy mode on my first try, but will need practice for the normal mode. Some patterns are nasty in a good way!

For now I'm in act 2 and I didn't see anything that was too hard or that a little bit of routing and practice would overcome.

After 1CC Gunvein's Intense difficulty, I'll move to Zeroranger for a change of pace. I intend to return to Gunvein.
Yesterday small practice really showed how much I improved in shmup. Without remembering much I cleared each stage after the second attempt, except the spoiler one.

It feel really good when you are making progress in a shmup. In Gunvein Intense difficulty, I'm able to beat the last boss + true last boss every 10th attempt. The other improvement is I can now reach the TLB almost every attempt.

It's insane how you can progress in shmup. I just got my 1st Stage 5 Intense clear in Gunvein after 24hours of play.
The first 7 hours of play I was struggling to get a 1cc in Mild difficulty.
The Intense 1cc is within reach in the next few sessions. Just need a good run before TLB

The first 7 hours of play I was struggling to get a 1cc in Mild difficulty.
The Intense 1cc is within reach in the next few sessions. Just need a good run before TLB

I've hit a wall in Gunvein Intense mode 1cc, a really good shmup. Stage 5 is draining my resources and I can only win against the TLB about 1/8 of the time in practice mode. Any advice to practice?

Yesterday I got my first 1CC in a shmup. Gunvein Mild difficulty on Type A ship. Super fun. Tried the next difficulty and got immediately humbled.

I've bought Gunvein after trying the demo. Can recommend. I'm a newbie in schmup so only Mild difficulty for now.
I was able to get to the third boss who promptly proceeded to reduce me to ashes.
Overall I can see myself investing more time in this game.
