Getting and selling porn should be easy like buying anything in life is. We shouldn't be underground because that is what fascism wants. Stand up for porn now or lose most creators you love. Don't let us backslide!
"porn's going back underground"
"we're going back to cash"
"we're going to crypto"
"we're gonna mail print only"

how about instead of saying funny shit online you call your reps and speak up for us so we don't have to do this

the fact that patreon employees will just straight up say, to your faces now, "I stalked your other accounts and found something in a *cartooning style* that made me personally uncomfortable so I'm taking your income away" should be way more alarming to people.
◇Turns out it was a combination of Patreon thinking Karen and Emily looked too much like minors, and not wanting to mix sex and hypno bc that's inherently noncon and against the rules. After a few days of scrambling we abandoned our Patreon and set up our SubscribeStar.◇

Gaming journalism never really moved past stuff like being fuckign racist towards japanese games or being disgusted by sexuality in any way shape or form so this? This doesn't surprise me.

But I do ask myself, how do you not feel like shit for just lying to everyone? How?
Many wonder why games journalists really struggle to cover adult games censorship

I think this games journalist posting on ResetEra about Horses really gives a pretty unprecedented look into how games journalists think about these things, including the incorrect read on the censorship angle

Another great way to help re: the Fakku censorship (and other kink-art issues); writing emails / calling journalistic outlets that would have reason to cover this, and explaining the situation.

Already sent a few emails, here.
I think if people want journalists to cover this, they’re going to have to start bugging journalists and publications to cover this

The mention of lolicon and CSAM here is odd. The studio itself notes this is an issue of policy and not legality, which is an important distinction. This is also an instance where the supposed offending material was removed (a young girl riding a naked woman as if she was a horse)

Obviously we don’t have the full story, but if the Fakku situation is a paypros one… “petite bodies are too obscene for us to process payments” is fucking insane and should be a five alarm fire for any feminist cultural critic

I would not be surprised to learn that banks and payment processors are advancing further in their facist enclosure of the internet. There are many fronts to fight on, but this has long been the canary in the proverbial coal mine.
I logged into my Fakku account and can confirm the tags “incest,” “tentacles,” “milf,” “loli,” “shota,” and “forced” lead to the following page. The notice regarding payment processing is obviously worrying. I reached out to Jacob to see if he can give any insight. More updates in this thread

Btw, ZERO journalists are covering the Fakku situation. I’ve only seen two other people with pull discuss it: JP politician Zenko Kurishita and Chibi Reviews

People really need to process the fact that the entire media landscape is failing them. This was just 8 yrs ago

yeah the wild misinformation going on in basically every article comment section, when accurate information is *right there*, is astounding
i am going completely insane watching gamers make up shit about horses and interrogating every single thing the devs have said for inconsistencies and then deciding well it probably had cp in it. this is the easy mode version of the kinds of censorship that are to come and you're failing like babies

Yeah more than ever you need to get as many people to voice their distate for these bills in any form they take, don't allow even a gutted version to pass without it costing them a lot, hell they shouldn't be passed at all.

These surveillance fetishist need to be protested at every moment and place
while its scary that US politicians are trying to fast track so bogus "child online safety" bills at once, I think their behavior belies the fact that they are aware this is a fight they can lose

but we have to fight them. get friends and family involved.

It’s so sad how many people only care about censorship when it’s “art” and “not porn.” God forbid someone calls you a gooner. Porn is art dumbasses

Also, as someone who worked on HORSES and has also made porn games + comics: I really don't appreciate when people put down one thing I made to uplift the other! Especially considering no one at Santa Ragione *ever* framed it in these terms when we were discussing the Steam ban
I am a little disappointed when the conversation is focused around "it's art not porn!" because the adult games devs get very little support but have been dealing with this for far longer, and they've been sounding the alarm for that deplatforming coming for other games (such as LGBTQ+ content).

Show your solidarity with artists and stand against censorship by buying this game on Itch before it gets delisted there too. This is one of those times where voting with your wallet *can* make a difference. A platform making a chunk of change off sales will 100% think twice before delisting.
