Finally got a proper program behind the Grembots now, they can finally roam free and bonk in their goofy glory. Still a lot to do but it feels like a significant step towards something.

I changed the way looking up and down works, from a janky direct bone manipulation in script to a simple animation. Moving the entire body and neck to get a full 180 degrees of rotation without the weird stutters or the chest hiding the ground.

Did some cursed scaling to get the old 1280x720 HUD to fit into 640x480. Gonna redo some stuff with the new HUD but I think the more important thing will be actually getting NPC AIs moving. #godot #godotengine #gamedev #indiedev

Back to whatever this is, it has been a while since I've posted an update. Forced 640X480 with integer scaling does the vibes but I need to completely remake the prerendered 3D UI now.

Did up a rig for the Tennogen Excalibur model for an animation idea I wanna make.. Ended up having some fun with it..

I made an infinite tile generation system for a project I've been wanting to make for years. This is it running at 1,681 tiles, just enough that there will be a row of tiles outside the render region. Eventually I'll write a devlog on this but not now..

Haven't done much that's worthy of being shared recently, but here's a vid of the first test of the dismembering mechanic. There has been some progress from this version but at the moment I've been working on something unrelated.

Switched things over to Godot 4.4 with Joly physics and nothing broke! I ended up making a map to stress test the way I implemented collision sounds, results were very good.

Desperado Model kit design rigged up in Blender with a toon like shader applied. I've got extra renders in a PBR shader that I'll post later on.

Another piece for that one VR game prototype I was working on, This one lacks a head as its meant to be a generic type with the head being a defining trait. Kinda just a vent 3D model, I wanted to try something like this and I wasn't making progress on other projects so I just did it.

Finished the first revision of my 1/144 EG like Desperado from Gundam Age. All that's left is to 3D print a test model and work on accessories.

Latest Wip robot model thing that was meant to be a VR Unity playermodel but is now probably going to be a Godot thing. Balancing detail levels for a mechanical structure intended for VR games is challenging but rewarding process as a lot of the meshes need to be decimated by hand.
