In case you need another underqualified white guy talking at you
I was in fact told by a teacher that my town of 30 thousand people might be targeted because we were near (over an hour away from) a tiny air force base on the east coast

It's got to be great brand power that the only one of the sites listed (other than Polygon) that I've used on purpose is fextralife and I fucking hate every second I'm on it

Can't think of any other time a US backed candidate has caused a problem. Let me just take a big sip of water real quick before I open this history book for the first time

I feel like "she could have won" is a way to absolve yourself of responsibility.

Like yeah, if we ignore all evidence to the contrary, she could have won 4 months ago. What's your plan for tomorrow? Are we still pretending that we can "wait til midterms" and go back to "normal"?

Be serious.

Similarly: listening to a lot of leftist news has taught me everyone's got a ben shapiro impression on a hair trigger

Thanks for sharing this. "Snorting friendship in the corner of the peep show" is a line that's going to stick with me

Regarding Docs: a lot of folks i know swear by Scrivener and Ellipsus. Don't know if either works for your needs, but could be worth a look

"Oh, you're me but luckier" is a pretty common refrain whenever I'm in a rough run lol. If you stay interested enough to get deeper into the mechanics you might check out howbazaar.gg , a fan built wiki. It's a good tool for at least determining what an enchant does or what npc to fight

It does get better as you start to figure out what triggers are good to look for to either build into or counter the current meta. But even after a couple months it's easy to go from "I'm an unstoppable god" to "I'm a buffoon" based largely on RNG. Satisfying when you do build the god engine tho

Is this why folks are so interested in gooning these days?

Gen X is just thrilled to be talked about without having to remind everyone they exist first

That's fair. I think I sounded a little more negative than I actually am on the writing, because in the end I did find it charming enough to keep coming back. But yeah, the driving felt almost like it had built in mouse acceleration, even though I was on a controller

Maybe a bad pick for my first review, but we're all just posting into the wind. Hopefully I'll get better at putting my thoughts in order for the next one. Thanks for reading. I love you bye

Overall Cloudpunk is a weird one for me. I found myself frustrated while playing it, but coming back to it excited to just sit in the ambiance. Overall I would highly suggest picking it up while it's on sale and playing through, maybe with a movie or podcast on the other monitor. 11/11

One thing I really can't abide though is the driving controls. They somehow managed to make the car feel both slippery and overweight. For me the worst part of this driving game was the driving and it's not even close. 10/x

The visual design of the city was genuinely incredible and I'd love to see this group build something in that voxel style again. I often found myself in awe that people built this. In a way that higher fidelity games don't hit the same. Something about the low poly made it feel more hand crafted 9/x

It sounds a lot like I'm shitting all over this game but that's not the intent. I found myself enjoying my time with Cloudpunk sometimes in spite of itself but often I felt genuinely interested in the lives of the people you met. Mostly the side characters, honestly, but invested nonetheless 8/x
