Guess who has a presentation to do today, who totally thought the presentation was later in the week, and who is so very much not ready! :D

Should be a fun morning getting ready for that...

Thought it was required to give users the option to reject cookies.

Either way, @10chambers.bsky.social you don't need cookies to give me "the best gaming experience" when I just wanted to see what games you make.

Blah...

@mitsuhiko.at been looking at your VibeTunnel GitHub project and was curious, why do you only have Claude run tests on request? Why would you not want it running tests when it is done work to verify tests still pass?

The pattern parser is great. Recently had to do some work on a system that wasn't using Loki for the logs storage, and it made me once again really appreciate how fast Loki is, and how great the pattern parser is.

I hate technology... so fucking much. This is yet another example of why I don't understand how anything in this world actually works and is in fact all built on some really shaky foundations.

It makes me chuckle seeing so much space lost to just the filesystem existing... the first personal file server I built at home was made of smaller disks than I am losing just to the filesystem.

I just spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why a function call was magically optimized out. Even in debug.

It turns out the previous line was a comment, and the end line was \r instead of \r\n (somehow??) and Visual Studio displayed that normally, but MSVC considered it's not an end of line 🤣

I kid you not, @itch.io has been taken down by Funko of "Funko Pop" because they use some trash "AI Powered" Brand Protection Software called Brand Shield that created some bogus Phishing report to our registrar, iwantmyname, who ignored our response and just disabled the domain

And tip #7893: some days don’t. Instead find the one thing that will make you happiest or most satisfied. Do that. Gotta replenish that good energy some times.
Gamedev tip #7892: You can actually only do one thing at time. Figure out the most important thing to do next and do that. Pick the single important thing that will move your game forward each day and make sure you get that done. You can do more, but make sure you do that one critical task.
