I thought that because of Halligan's screw up it was going to be too late to refile because the statute of limitations ran. I know in Federal court you can efile up to 11:59, but courts physically close at 5.....so even with the late night filing option, is it arguable the statute ran?

I just finished reading Elie Honig's latest, When You Come for the King. What a fabulous read. As with all Honig's writing he writes so lay people will understand and want to know more and those in the legal profession not feel talked down to. This was an informative read.

I can think of a bunch of reasons-it will cause Maga Mike to have an even narrower margin & she doesn't exactly like him, may have cut a deal with the Trump/Epstein survivors & without an NDA about whatever she knows is in those files she can talk freely.

It occurs to me that the reason Trump "changed" his mind about the release of the Epstein files was he realized the Discharge Petition was going to pass and by saying he supported it means he gets to claim credit for it -- like people would forget how he fought the release.

Trump is cornered on Epstein, he knows it will pass the votes so now he can say it’s because he told them to and he wants them released as well.. after he says DOJ just can’t release it because of ongoing investigations. Or his involvement got destroyed
