I am so full that i cannot move but geenersgiving was SUCCESSFUL!
-plain & roasted garlic mashed potatoes
-bacon broccoli potatoes
-maple glazed carrots
-canned cranberry sauce
-sage & thyme turkey & gravy
plus the turkey was juicy & cooked in like an hour & a half! haven’t even had dessert yet

I am so full that i cannot move but geenersgiving was SUCCESSFUL!

the turkey is defrosted, spatchcocked and covered in the dry brine and miraculously fits into the bottom shelf of the fridge which i didn’t think it could. Then i made stock with the giblets and neck for tomorrow and now i rest! (pottery in the morning then cooking for the day later!)

i’ve been collecting for a while! mostly keeping an eye on ebay for vintage stuff but hot topic & box lunch have started releasing more Spottie stuff! I just got this plush from Hot topic and Box Lunch has a matching backpack

CASCATELLI. i don’t care if it’s the “new” pasta shape- it’s TOO BIG, it cooks unevenly because it’s too big, it can’t commit to being a flat noodle or a tube and it’s way too much noodle in a bite. it’s the WORST.

lamp preview! because this glaze turned out SO GOOD on this lamp, i need to rig something up when i take official photos of it when it’s fully assembled as a hanging lamp. But the glaze is blue celadon & green tea on bravo buff clay body which gives it the iron flecks #ceramics

on monday, her dad and my sister said goodbye to dear Diochi, the sweetest frenchie and best cuddle companion. She had developed a form of brain cancer and had been declining in the past couple months. She did get to spend her last weekend at the beach with her (human) babies luckily 💔💔

a preview of when everything finally comes out of the kiln in the next week or so and i have time to fine tune everything: FIRST LAMP!!!!!!!
(the firing was too hot and went into reduction very fast so the outside glaze is supposed to be more matte but it still looks cool!)

it’s 2am, post #sculpture aka i’m getting back into needlefelting again which is stabbing furiously into wool until it turns into a bunny or something. this bunny was originally a cat from a kit from daiso but eventually i will make its body. It’s fun, it’s slow, i don’t stab myself as much anymore

it’s 2am, post #sculpture aka i’m getting back into needlefelting again which is stabbing furiously into wool until it turns into a bunny or something. this bunny was originally a cat from a kit from daiso but eventually i will make its body. It’s fun, it’s slow, i don’t stab myself as much anymore
it always cracks me up when he puts his weeny little arm on the sill like a widow who’s lost their husband to the sea XD

a bunch of stuff has been glazed and is now in the queue to be fired. Pray to the kiln gods they turn out ok (and that the studio lets me fire them and doesn’t reject them for fear of melting off the shelves 😭)
