I wish the people who prefer the latter would step up and run and be the change rather than simply sitting out because like it or not there is a difference. Not enough of one but there is. Until we have leaders who wade in we are effed. It’s just a matter of how bad on a scale of very bad.

I feel this. As a woman in a male dominated industry, it is something I have to fight through often. Not always successfully. I’m older now- 20 years in- and I focus on being the person who dares more than the outcome. It helps. Enter the ring!

In fairness we have terrible public schools here. Which is also why they were able to dupe Texans into cutting more school funding thru rediculous property tax props.

Yeah but I am still screwed and gerrymandered out of representation. Real people are at the heart of this and it’s easy to forget. I have no voice in national politics now. First it’s disenfranchised. Then it’s disheartened. Then it’s disconnected. There are still real consequences
