Brooklyn-based beadwork artist, author, and teacher who is old enough to be angry that we have to fight this fascist shit all over again.
Sourdough loaf with sun-dried tomatoes, olives, and capers. Recipe made a very soft and sticky dough, but it tastes good.

No chance of seeing the Northern Lights in the middle of NYC, but we had an interesting sunset tonight.

My celebratory semolina sourdough loaf. Okay, I just happened to bake it today, after yesterday's mayoral election, but it came out so well.

It's that day of the year again: the New York Marathon, the day when we can't cross the street until after 2 pm.

My allergies got the best of me and I couldn't make it to the Brooklyn No Kings event, but I did donate earlier this week and can post a photo the No Kings pin I made.

The weather didn't cooperate, but there was a fun Fiber Festival at the old Stone House today. This was 1 of the group projects displayed.

My latest sourdough bake: cinnamon raisin bread with half a cup of cinnamon sugar incorporated in the swirl.

Once again, my protest pin made in reaction to the news comes in handy. Please, DNC, stop cowering and start fighting or get out of the way.

Protest Pin #6. This one turned out to be impractical to wear, but I took its photo anyway.

Seems like a good month to share the memory of a past beading project.

Today's surprise on my way to the grocery store in the Republic of Brooklyn: 2 lovely women and a DJ drawing people into our local Carribean restaurant. Men stopped to take video and old biddies were scandalized.

This protest pin is definitely rude, but it seems to be my common reaction to the news lately.

Good luck, Canada. Don't make the same mistake this country did.

My latest protest pin. I started this before the big Hands Off protests, but I am sure the sentiment is still relevant.
