On our poetry birding hike today we wrote nonets. This is my first attempt at writing one! We heard Carolina Chickadees along the trail. Although I didn't capture a good photo today, I added a nonet to a rough sketch I made from a photo I took of a Black-capped Chickadee in the NE.

Had a great time volunteering at the Austin Public Library Kids Block Party for Texas Children in Nature Network on June 7th. Wonderful event! Libraries bring so much to our communities!
