7. She was eventually transferred to me in WY. She has proceeded to attempt to give me as much grey hair as possible, including jail-breaking TWICE while here to chase chickens and run feral in the draw with raccoons. She's magic, she's fierce, she's an unrelenting, unapologetic rebel.

5. My mentor, state & federally licensed wildlife rehabber, met with animal control law enforcement (one of which happened to be the man's family member). Laws were cited and reviewed, and AC agreed to go to the man's house & seize the mink. My mentor took legal possession.

4. Myself and several other rescues became involved in trying to save her. I remotely convinced the man I was going to buy her, to stop him from killing or selling her while others worked on legal means to take possession. People had started harassing the man, and we worried he would dispose of her

1. She escaped a fur farm- we will never know how.

2. She chased a man's ducks and was captured.

3. Man tried to knowingly and illegally traffic her, attempting to sell her online as a "ferret". It's not legal to sell mink as a pet w/o USDA lic

Agreed. From what I understand, Cody's family owns the bar & there is good reason that some of the bar patrons quietly filmed & made sure the footage got out, rather than speaking up in the moment in the bar that night. It probably would have escalated, violently.

Patrons in the bar filmed it & anonymously released the footage and made this POS go infamously viral. It's taken over a year, blood sweat & tears from multiple orgs, and fury from around the world to convince WY to finally bring felony charges against this utter scumbag 🤬

Wolfie and Ranger have stayed on as ambassador ferrets here, and have gone to school to meet children with disabilities & teach them about ferrets & mustelids.

Wolfie especially is a top-notch ambassador, being very calm and sweet.

The brothers had been sitting in the tiny glass box at Petco for 6 months before the person bought them. The kind person cared far more about their well-being vs getting a refund and sending them back to the glass box in the store.
