Such important and positive news that has been years in the making. Developing networks of advocacy & research has been vital in driving this agenda. There is still a long way to go in ensuring positive food cultures is embedded in schools and providing sustainable, healthy and satisfying meals

Yesterday on the Avignon field course we were hosted by the Mairie d’Avignon & @inrae-france.bsky.social at Lycee Agricol Petraque & City Hall. We learnt about how the Mairie leading an innovative food aid scheme Paniers Solidaires providing local, organic produce to those on low incomes.

Exploring the urban environments of central Avignon, including the vibrant food market of les Halles. Situating the city in a lush agricultural hinterland enables a buoyant sustainable food economy. Access to food is constrained for some & we’re exploring #foodaid initiatives as well

Take action to save The Agroforestry Research Trust. Such an important food and land research site in #devon
One of the best examples of a mature, temperate forest garden is under threat - please sign the Agroforestry Research Trust's petition to try and save it.
The Dartington Forest Garden is threatened with destruction by landlords the Dartington Trust. It took >30 years to grow, and is a wonderful example of a radically different approach to food & fibre production. Please sign the petition, and share.
