I make clothes and complain about computers
I’m in the next group of Millennials (and grew up rural w/o cable so my references are especially old) so Elder Millennial kinda resonates but Gen X culture is a major blindspot for me (my parents are boomers)

I’m a constituent in this district and my thing is just that we have suuuuuuuuch a deep bench. Kat can win here, so could a lot of other progressives with deeper roots and less money. I would have liked to see how this race would’ve shaped up if no one announced before Jan retired

I get Instagram ads like this from 4 countries every day and I don’t even do anything useful

For real, my brother just bought in a neighborhood (in MI) full of super cute 2 bdrms that were originally built for autoworkers during that era and all can think is “the modern Bay Area could have but would *never*”

I’m coming up on 7 years with my Dyson (I was speaking at lots of conferences and spending too much $ at Drybar when they came out) and I’m still totally loving it

Not where I could get it back out easily—narrow rooms, big mat problem haha!

I store it vertically between a bookcase and a wall. I don’t quite have a place to store it flat. Ironing the mat on low helps a lot but sometimes I still notice a wonky line while projecting, otherwise it doesn’t bother me too much

Patternprojector.com has made it so much easier! These days, the biggest thing I struggle with is that my cutting mat is prone to warping

Mood has a really good swatch program—I think you get 5 for free whenever you purchase something? A while ago I wanted to make a bias skirt for an event so I just ordered a swatch of all the “shiny” fabrics they had to see which would wash best. It’s a great way to learn
