Senior Graphics Programmer at Nixxes Software @nixxessoftware.bsky.social‬ Previously TT Games and WeirdBeard Games. A member of the Sustainable Transport branch of Climate Change Balmain/Rozelle, and Port Jackson Greens.
Had a great day at the Balmain Festival yesterday, I volunteered on the CCBR booth to talk to people about sustainable transport. So much interest for the Glebe Island Bridge we ran out of petition paper!
Also a great example of reclaiming street space for people, even if temporarily.

Today we had @bicyclensw.bsky.social join us on the Balmain Bike Bus, who politely listened to all our excited plans and wishlists for improved infrastructure in the area, including a shortcut through the power station, widened shared paths and of course the Glebe Island Bridge.

Super nice that this Wednesday is World Sustainable Transport Day, but it's also the 1st birthday of the Balmain Bike Bus 🥳
I've been told by a couple of attendees that this has inspired them to choose bike over car more often than they used to. Small wins, but still important I think.

Woah, super cool to see a bunch of our games front and centre when opening Steam today.
I know PlayStation is a large company, but the Nixxes port teams are not huge, so it's still really cool to see our titles appear so prominently like this.

Had all my three newbies from Ride 2 Work day last month, all back again on the bike bus today! Makes me happy 😊
There were so many weeks over the last year where it was just me cycling to work alone after waiting and no one showing up. I guess stubborn persistence finally paid off.

Also, this is a way better photo of people outside NSW parliament than the other photo that's all over the news. This one is a wonderful collection of people putting their all into making streets safer, saving lives, and reducing transport emissions. Super proud to be in there helping a bit.

Well done to @kobishettymp.bsky.social who just did a phenomenal reading for her bill to introduce a 30km/h limit on local, residential streets across NSW. Hopefully we can catch up with the international standards for safe streets, and allow people to choose sustainable transport options 💚

Ah damn, it's been a while, but just got a bit ranty at work about some hack that's now causing bugs in what I'm trying to write.
Went back to check who created the hack.
It was me ☹️

That was an eventful morning. Went out to join the protest against the weapons conference because 🤢😡, (or as Hannah said "this event is fucked").
Things got a bit spicy and police overreacted and pepper spayed the whole protest. I only got a small amount, but ugh, not a fun experience.

You can be as involved (or not) as you like. They start you off with easy things like letterboxing, which I enjoy a lot because it gives me a great excuse to peek at my neighbours' places, and go look at local streets you never normally see. Though at this time of year it can be... challenging

I joined the Greens a year ago and it's been so great I wish I'd done it earlier somehow. Hanging out with people with the same morals and passion to make things better is an amazing antidote to the doom and gloom of the world.
If you're Inner West (or Sydney) based then come along and meet us all 💚

Adding to my collection of photos out cycling with politicians. This time Inner West Greens councillor Ismet Tastan 💚

Well, I thought we'd get nobody on the bike bus today due to the heat (39 degrees forecast for Sydney today 💀), but ALL our newbies from last week's ride showed up again today. So awesome!

The local market is amazing but I have some questions (that maybe I don't want answered)
October 18, 2025 at 5:56 AM
Caught the tram today because I did not want to cycle in the heat (yeah, yeah). But look at the cool tram that turned up! @suckerpunchprod.bsky.social

I think my favourite thing about watching the NotJustBikes videos now that I'm living in Aus, is seeing all the familiar Amsterdam places and instantly being able to tell exactly where each shot is taken.
This is the big roundabout on the Amstelveenseweg, I'd go this way to get to the forest ❤️

Meanwhile my cat... definitely does not.
She has no concept that cats can even climb trees. I'm actually not sure she even knows she is a cat..

Do you think it has a quest for me?

We did it, double digits on the bike bus today! (Including someone we picked up at a stop after this point).
We even had 3 newbies, one of whom told me she bought a bike because she read about our bike bus 😭

OK I think I am just no fun at family gatherings. When the conversation inevitably turns to complaining about the traffic on the way to/from the gathering, and the person talking to me suggests "they really need to widen X road", I just can't bring myself, I have to vehemently disagree.

Reunited with the little fuzzball, and she seems very pleased to see us. Non stop purring and following us around the house ❤️

Even with her own office chair, Yuki is not so good with trying to keep up with European office hours from Australia...

OK after some digging, apparently the Paradox Interactive logo is a platypus fossil. Huh. TIL.
