Living on disability, we are so rarely treated like human beings with passions, interests, expertise to offer the world.

These moments of humanity, of being seen as a peer, are essential.

I'm sometimes surprised, but always grateful when they happen.

and she said she hopes I'm able to write more if I still enjoy it as much as it sounds like I do, and if my chronic illness allows.

This kind stranger taking time out of her busy work day to chat + acknowledge my passion for my career + the disability that made me leave it behind was so refreshing.

I recently learned I am severely deficient in vitamin D (even for a Canadian with SAD lol)

I've been craving eggs and fish, two foods that are high in vitamin D (certain types of fish, and the yolks in particular).

Our bodies are so smart in that way 🥰
