Watching the Mahmood announcement and debate. Tory backbencher (Karen Bradley) suggests putting refugees into debt and making them repay during the rest of their lives. Mahmood says she’ll think about it.

This Labour government are (frustratingly) making my work more and more relevant every week. Five years ago, I argued that temporary protection policies for refugees are grossly unjust, and here we are making things worse for them again.

Yesterday I landed in Arizona for the 13th Oxford Studies in Political Philosophy Workshop. I'm currently working surrounded by hummingbirds while overlooking a swimming pool, which is definitely the most luxurious talk preparation I've ever done
