I met one of my senators tonight. Not just met, we held a lengthy conversation. It feels good to know they actually heard me. My letters and calls have only been answered occasionally, which I totally get, so this was a nice read receipt 😂

Unrelated, even though I moved a bit from DC, my next door neighbor is a metro PD officer in DC. I sent her a message the day the national guard arrived, and she said “I just got home for the first time since this started” THIS MORNING.
I didn’t ask why, but she eluded to it being BS.

It’s been radio silence for a month, and I randomly get a group text about Thanksgiving plans.
So I was obviously annoyed, since I already told my dad I was done.
I replied “we won’t make it. Dad knows why”
That’s all I said, and OMG…

Haven’t heard from him since. Part of me was hoping he had been quietly working on things in the background, but I knew he was doing absolutely nothing to resolve the situation. My brother confirmed that today.

My brother, the smart one, has only one guilty pleasure - HGTV. So he’s now familiar with Chelsea and Cole. I was not expecting to have a full freaking discussion about trashy Teen Mom history with my brother who’s hands touch actual hearts on a daily basis 😂
