Saw them do a very loud quadrophonic set in Seattle, many moons ago.

It had a slightly weird ending. Different from the book, to leave things open for a second season, I guess. But it’s certainly a fun watch, if a bit humourless. Chloë Grace Moretz is amazing, as she always is.

It’s one of my least favourite Gibson books so maybe I’m not tied to it enough to be bothered. Like I wasn’t crazy about The Peripheral either but my partner persuaded me to watch the show and it was really great.

The one that blows me away is The Fabulous Stains. Partly it’s just finding out that film exists. But also seeing how different Vancouver was back then.

While I did love this album in 1989, De La Soul was robbed.

I live in Vancouver, so I'm used to seeing where I live standing in for another city entirely. Although I guess that's probably true of LA too.

Yeah, the last AE show here had some technical issues. Way too little overall volume, most of which was bass. But they managed to blast through it.

Had no idea AE did bad shows. I’ve only ‘seen’ them twice (compared to, I think, 10 MBV shows) but both were extraordinary.

I’ve also seen Sunny Ade (huge disappointment on that occasion) and Jandek (pretty cool). Wish I was at the Sunny Ade show you saw! But I’m mainly jealous about Fushitsusha. I’ve seen Keiji Haino three times but never with that band. I did recently see Suisho No Fune in Tokyo, which was awesome.

Same question!

I hate to discuss politics on social media, but the hypocrisy and injustice here is staggering. Someone from a religion with a long history of killing children, specifically Indigenous children, falsely accusing Indigenous Peoples of child sacrifice. Just so maddening.

Dooo iiit!!!!

Particularly outrageous given how many Indigenous children the Catholic Church has killed in Canada.

My parents’ TV was hardcore broken for like a year. My brother and I kept pointing out that everything was a shade of purple. They claimed not to be able to see it. They *liked* the way it looked. (And don’t even get me started on aspect ratios.)

You could say "ambient jazz album of the year" and start even more and more stupid fights (which is what the internet is for, after all).

Right, I'd forgotten that America was still a thing.
