You'll see various stories about me sawing off piano legs to "feel" the vibrations of the piano as I played/composed in my later years. Don't believe them (piano legs unscrew, after all). Here are some actual hearing aids I used. The big one is what I used with the piano.
Four metal ear trumpets of various sizes and designs. Two of them have a headband so a person's hands can be free to play the piano. The largest one is long enough to extend out over the hood of the piano.
