As a kid, I remember watching a show about a detective who solved cases from his wheelchair, and today I learned that show started with a Raymond Burr made-for-tv movie from 1968 called Ironside, which led to an 8-season tv show. Anyway, today I watched Ironside.

Three years ago, after staying at Cedars Sinai for 42 days for an emergency liver transplant, I was discharged from the hospital. Happy day!

Got this little fish from a plankton sample and couldn’t decide what it was. Tossed it in the ct scanner, as one does. Now I have a much better idea what it is. Any guesses??

Today I got to play “guess how many fish are in the jar”, which is one of my favorite games because I get to look at lots of cool fish.

My last post was prompted by this inquiry where Google AI incorrectly states that the Pacific Footballfish has parasitic males. True for some, but not all, anglerfish species. The difference is important!

The boat I learned to fish on forty years ago, rotting behind my grandparent’s barn. Such wonderful memories on this tank of a boat. If I had silly money, I would 100% rescue her from wasting away.

My poor car. I took her for maintenance yesterday and put 800 miles on her today. She’s asking for a checkup already!
