If your paper actually cared about Dems fighting climate change, maybe it should have endorsed the candidate who would.

Also, Republicans wouldn't have made ridiculous demands about abortion unless they were "emboldened" to do so.

It's possible that an impeachment based on complete bullshit and one where there is a long list of clearly illegal acts that everyone hated would be received differently.
November 12, 2025 at 1:39 AM
It's not about the diehard delusional Trumpers. No one has any illusions their fever will break.
November 12, 2025 at 1:25 AM
I mean, I agree about "the entire cabinet", but taking swings at the worst half dozen seems worthwhile.
November 12, 2025 at 12:49 AM
Fine. You put on a ton of testimony about what they have been doing and why it is both illegal and bad. And then they offer no rebuttal. Sounds pretty good to me.
November 12, 2025 at 12:42 AM
Yes. Swing voters and other political casuals.
November 12, 2025 at 12:40 AM
Yeses. Great choice.
November 11, 2025 at 11:22 PM
I'm not actually sure this is worse than we have in Washington.
November 11, 2025 at 10:34 PM
The bar examiners should be feeling pretty good right now.
November 11, 2025 at 10:24 PM
Okay. I don't think you're part of the base, so I guess we're even.
November 11, 2025 at 10:19 PM
I think this is a defeatist and simply wrong take. Most of the true believers may refuse to see reality, but they are at most 30% of the country. The normal people that don't pay a ton of attention to politics are going to hate this.
November 11, 2025 at 10:16 PM
A promise from Trump that he'll stop doing illegal things is a terrible ask.
November 11, 2025 at 10:12 PM
I consider myself the base. I don't think this makes them look weak or lose crediblilty.
November 11, 2025 at 10:10 PM
So they should have not tried to save the ACA subsidies at all or put the issue of people having their health insurance to the forefront.
November 11, 2025 at 10:08 PM
Except they don't because every time Dems try to make a show, it gets immediately undercut by people who want to skip to the end NOW
November 11, 2025 at 9:32 PM
100%. The people who argue against using tools we have now to avoid deaths so we can focus solely on solutions that will take decades to fully implement are not being serious.
November 11, 2025 at 9:18 PM
And while they're checking, they should sign up for text updates for their ballots for future elections on the same page. It's great.
November 11, 2025 at 9:01 PM
Good to see you back. Putting your mental health first is a very good thing.

Still waiting for that Seattle show.
November 11, 2025 at 8:49 PM
Thanks. And you also make a good point about this taking up their time that could otherwise be spent doing more evil.
November 11, 2025 at 8:26 PM
But I think there is value in dragging them in front of Congress and laying out all of their malfeasance. When the GOP all vote to acquit, drag them for it.

Our partisans on the left side need to do our part though.
November 11, 2025 at 8:15 PM
Why wouldn't it work? Ankle monitors and ignition interlock devices have a 100% success rate in preventing crime.
