This curious little guy kept me company this morning...

Had to separate my 2 Mongolian Triops today as the big one kept attacking the little one – to console him, he got a big melon chunk for himself.
(before anyone complains, this was only a temporary measure until I had prepared the replacement tank – none of my Triops has to live on such small space)

The little one has grown a bit 🥰

I wanted to upgrade the tank a bit for my Triops & got them some plants - within 2 days they had destroyed & dug everything up - they absolutely love it...
I had separated one plantlet for regrowth & can you see the tiny one at the bottom? My first own hatchling...

Benny has done what I've been trying to recognize in time to prevent.Yesterday morning I had to collect the remains of one of the others & saw him hunting the other two - so I needed to separate him urgently.
I feel bad for not noticing earlier.😟
Unfortunately this is typical for the species.

Had to wait for an appointment today and wandered round the aquarium house - I know the video isn't great, but look at these huge beautiful Arapaimas!
