Women‘s World Cup news: The UK, Ireland, Scotland and Wales are bidding to host the 2035 tournament.

It would be 48 teams, 22 stadiums, 16 host cities.

Previous European hosts have been Sweden (1995), Germany (2011) and France (2019).

RE: the story about how Michigan men's basketball coach Bill Frieder was fired before the NCAA tournament because he'd agreed to the job at Arizona State.
