This is an awesome, and awesomely correct, book title. Yes Elon, he's talking to you and your lot.
The radicalization of Silicon Valley is the subject of my forthcoming book, "The Nerd Reich: Silicon Valley Fascism and The War on Democracy."

It exposes a decades-long campaign to use tech power to overthrow democracy and destroy nations. Pre-order here: www.simonandschuster.com/books/The-Ne...

I remember when journalists had to have a working knowledge of the language, which this writer clearly does not. "device hoarding" is used here when it means "getting value out of a device" as opposed to "having a house full of them".

Sand batteries are literally just silos of sand that retain heat exceptionally well -- so well that they can be tied to heat exchange systems to serve as proxy *electrical* batteries. Finland's new model can store enough power (100 MWh) to heat an entire town for a week.

This is great - "journalist" posts a "why can't people cheating on their spouse have privacy at a concert where the tix warn you that you may be filmed?" lament and gets correct by pretty much everyone in the comments about concepts and actual word-meaning ignorance and stupid comparisons.
The gleeful doxing of someone cheating in public is bad even if they are a CEO and even if they are a Coldplay fan. It's bad because this kind of thing is happening to random people on TikTok for such crimes as "sitting silently on a plane" or "being attractive"
