The way to message through all of this is "We can have a better world where we're not all affected by rich, pissy men who can't handle their shit."

That's all. Leave the memes behind, the lame attempts at going viral, and just say, we can have all of these things and be free of this bullshit.

What's so unfortunate about @anajeanliss.bsky.social's well-founded concern here is that the "toxic strongman political ecosystem" is usually what enables the "apocalyptic new developments."

Cuomo will use the investigation to continue casting himself as a bona fide enemy threat to the President, and not the Trump incarnate he actually is.

This Rümeysa Öztürk hearing is radicalizing.

I've been a court reporter for many years, and I've never covered anything like this: A student deeply committed to her studies, imprisoned solely over writing an op-ed, being made to testify under oath for her own freedom.

Dark, dark stuff.

Wrote this 7 yrs ago this week in an attempt to process the madness and perversity of working for–and being abused by–a powerful male narcissist. This was of course back when egregiously cruel, misogynistic behavior by public figures could still leave us gobsmacked.

This new White House executive order says that the US Attorney General is going to prevent states from implementing democratically passed laws regarding climate change and clean energy. It scarcely needs stating at this point that this is wildly, unambiguously unconstitutional. Dictator shit.

May this interview radicalize those who have the stomach to listen.

1. One of capitalism’s greatest successes is to shut down our imaginations. With the help of its favoured tools - neoliberalism and fascism - it persuades us that “there is no alternative”. Our first task is to re-ignite our moral imaginations and name our alternatives. 🧵

Cuomo’s treatment of women was a feature of his office, not a bug. Beyond the fact that women like Boylan deserve better, is that Cuomo was a liability to his party -- a ruthless bully, consummate liar, and a paragon of the same narcissistic male “leadership” we’re currently trying to survive.
