💡 #THCS is a partnership under #HorizonEurope, and in the Netherlands includes #ZonMw, #NWO and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports #MinVWS to improve equal access to #healthcare throughout Europe.

Koch and her collaborators will test this approach in Belgium, Spain, Sweden and The Netherlands and aim to integrate these methods into regular clinical practice across Europe in the future. Koch and her team at @erasmusmc.bsky.social will coordinate the project.

These methods will make home treatment more effective and less burdensome for patients, while leading to faster recovery with fewer complications.

The AT-HOME study aims to improve home treatment with vancomycin by using model-informed precision dosing (MIPD) and dried blood spot (DBS) sampling. MIPD uses #patient-specific models to optimize dosing, while DBS allows for easy blood sampling at home, using a fingerpick.

National Roadmap: NWO invests 197 million euro in eleven Large-Scale Research Infrastructures | NWO
Eleven consortia from various scientific disciplines are set to launch projects of great value to science. But also to the economic and social prosperity of the Netherlands. For example, a consortium led by TU Delft will start work on a detailed virtual model of the Dutch energy system. In another project, a consortium of UMC Utrecht is developing an MRI scanner that can scan people in motion.
