It’s weird* that the president can just decide to put a huge tax on American businesses without congress even being a little bit involved.

* very unconstitutional

Fun group project: Call your R Representative's office, ask them how much of the Federal budget is Medicaid, ask them how much the bill cuts Medicaid by, then ask them to do the math for you.
BREAKING: House Republicans have released their budget resolution. They are aiming to cut Medicaid by at least $880 billion, and cut SNAP by at least 20%.

not sure people realize this about musk but it is absolutely true and he was too poor to even buy piddly twitter for the whole $44 billion without taking limited partners. if he bought a baseball team, he'd do the red sox mookie betts trade
A lot of people are like "If I were Elon Musk I would just go to Tahiti and have a Piña Colata," and yes, of course, but the problem is he can't go to a bank and take this out. It's all collateral on collateral. He's the poorest rich man there is. He's overleveraged himself into a permanent hell.

Pssst: There actually isn’t a lot of waste, fraud, an abuse in the govt given its size. Big businesses typically have more.

“Waste, fraud, and abuse” is what politicians (1) say to BS that they can save a lot of money without taking anything from anyone or (2) by “waste,” mean “thing I don’t like.”

This is — literally — unheard of in federal prosecutions.

We can’t prosecute him because he’s a candidate for office? Wow.
Justice officials tell prosecutors to drop charges against N.Y. Mayor Eric Adams
A top Justice official said New York Mayor Eric Adams should not have to face trial given his reelection campaign and the fight against crime and illegal immigration.

Make no mistake, Donald Trump and Elon Musk are destroying the credibility of the Department of Justice by sending its lawyers into court to make absurd legal arguments and repeated factual misrepresentations.

This will not end well.

At least according to..the Mom-o-meter.

My Mom before Tues: You’re doing what? Where? This can’t be a national emergency.

Mom on Tuesday: WHO ARE THESE KIDS AND WHAT ARE THEY DOING WITH MY MONEY?
