Another from the archives: COVID kitty

Ms. Lehigh traveled with me literally across the country, and she really wanted to come to work with me. Sadly, the hospital would not credential her as a therapy kitty, which was probably the correct decision.

Lehigh has traveled across the US many times, and she definitely prefers the Peterbilt. She very much likes "her" bed in the sleeper, and she is willing to share it with me once in a while. To be honest, I prefer the Peterbilt too, but only when it's not threatening to derate.

For a change of pace, my wife was traveling with Lehigh and myself. She had commented, "Lehigh is a very different kitty here." My response was, "Of course, she is now back in her natural environment of a Hampton Inn."

Lehigh: "What part of 'I don't want to check out of the hotel' did you not understand?"

Ms. Lehigh: I know I was scratching my ear for the whole drive yesterday, but it's fine. My ear is perfectly normal. WE DO NOT NEED TO BE AT THE VET!

Vet: Yes, it is an ear infection. We had to cut open the box to get her out of it for examination.

Time for a new Amazon box for Ms. Lehigh.

How badly broken is the US Healthcare system? Let's talk about how much it cost me personally to pet a stray cat - $3,952.26. I don't blame the cat. She was doing what cats do. She wanted head rubs, then she wanted to play, and she nipped my hand. But she could not be captured and was not current.

Ms. Winter: Could you sing that song to me again? You know the one with "All I want from you, a chin rub or two. Say you will. You want me too. And in the morning in the house, all I left him was a mouse."

How many of you have ever asked for your senior cat to approve a construction permit to renovate the kitten's accommodations? Thankfully, Muffin will approve just about anything, for the right price. Lehigh's two-story mobile home has about 130k miles over-the-road, and she's Hilton Diamond status.

Adopting a cat is a lifetime commitment. In this case, it also included loads of antibiotics, treating multiple parasites, hoping and praying she was going to survive, etc. Being a cat daddy, for one his small, was interesting. She still is not great at litterbox usage, my bad.

Winter here again. I have FIV. I'm not a bad kitty. Every day they tell me I'm a good kitty. I like that. It makes me want to purr all the time. Too many people are looking at me now. I'm going to hide under the bed for a while. Bye.

Ms. Winter: I'm so happy to have a furever home, where I can fall asleep on people who protect me. Somebody thought I was feral, so they clipped my ear. I'm not feral, I just have PTSD. Both of the doctors I sleep on say it. I trust them, so they must be right.

Ms. Lehigh: What do you mean you have to go to work? I already had a nap planned, then afterward you twirl that fuzzy toy and we were going to play fetch with mousie. Your "work" thing really is messing up my schedule.

Ms. Lehigh: "Hey Dad, this is the thing that gives you zoomie juice, right? Why don't I get any zoomie juice?"

Ms. Lehigh hiding under the covers after I tried to get her to learn a foreign language, since the hotel we have been staying at for work now will only allows dogs. The outcome of the "walking on a leash" lesson was a spectacular failure too.
