The wonderful @brookebosborne.bsky.social came north to the Northern Great Basin Experimental Range to help install sensors for a new moss micro-site project! Stay tuned to see how moss changes the micro-climate and possibly primes carbon fixation in early spring.

Another successful year of research on virtual fencing! Bringing the last virtual fence base station in for winter. Needs a few repairs to the housing and new deep cycle batteries.

Science night at the library! Native plants, plant ecophysiology, bird songs, trail cams, gps collars, virtual fence, and a calf heart and lungs! So much fun teaching k-12 kids and their parents at the Harney County Library.
