Retired (and even more tired of Trump)
How come no one has picked up on Trump's press conference babbling about negotiating with the Taliban with respect to reacquiring Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan? Assuming it is true (after all, he has dementia) that will put a stake through the heart of any negotiations.

What are the odds that when Trump returns to the White House he orders his staff to acquire a gilt-laden horse carriage like the one he rode in on his visit to a real King. There was more gold on the carriage than all the Home Depot faux gold he placed in his White House/Bordello.

About Harvard and the effort to strip them of their tax-exempt status. What will the many financial institutions with Harvard tax-exempt bonds do if this happens? Maybe those firms should join the fight to protect their financial interests.

Trouble in paradise

Elon Musk unloaded on Trump’s economic adviser Peter Navarro: "Navarro is truly a moron. What he says here is demonstrably false." "Navarro is dumber than a sack of bricks."

Just to poke the bear a little today, I thought we could make April 15, 2025 "America Supports Danish Cookies Day". The least we can do for Denmark and Greenland is to buy some Danish cookies...not good for your diet, but great for your soul.

HuffPost reported that taxpayers spent over $26 million on various expenses associated with Trump’s golf outings to his own courses. Trump played golf again this weekend in FL He has now played golf 18 of his first 69 days in office. I wish he would spend every day on the golf course.

How Trump’s ‘51st State’ Canada Talk Came to Be Seen as Deadly Serious
President Trump, in an early February call, challenged the border treaty between the two countries and told Justin Trudeau he didn’t like their shared water agreements.

Interesting. My former unit, (1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment) which is still active, has a website of general interest to anyone who ever served with it. They just posted that based on "official guidance" they are shutting down the site. Ominous and unnecessary.

An oldie, but goody. Amazing how perceptive we were back in 2017.

Just thought I would throw this into the mix: I am concerned about the plan to dismiss several high-ranking officers including members of the Joint Chiefs. It occurred to me that perhaps Trump wants to bring back wacky Gen. Flynn as Chairman of the JCS. I suspect Congress needs to approve.
