RCAF nurses were involved in about 250 medical evacuation flights from East Asia and many more throughout Canada.
Although RCAF members were the smallest contingent of the Canadian Armed Forces in Korea, they had an outsized impact on the war. Canadian fighter pilots flew more than 2,200 combat missions, with the United States Air Force, shooting down nine enemy MiG aircraft.
