How about "grow" as a transitive verb which should only be used for plants and crops.
I grow roses in my garden. Corn is grown in Iowa.
NOT
The President hopes to grow the economy.
The CEO wants to grow the business.

I tried emboli and embolize the other day - no dice. Particularly annoying since I've had a pulmonary embolism which consisted of many emboli. It does accept wanna and gonna though.

A student of mine whose first language was not English wrote "testes" instead of "tests". I had him go to a translating app to explain the difference. He was mortified.
