Another data point is Mark Pulte's (Bill's dad) claiming primary residence status for homes in Michigan and Florida to benefit from homestead exemptions. Recently, Michigan dunned him for back taxes after learning of this illegal activity which also included renting the house.

Dad - who owns property near Trump in Florida. Dad, who claimed both the Florida property and one in Michigan as his primary residence to gain local tax breaks, and had to reimburse Michigan for that false statement.

At some point, unless Trump pardons him, Pulte is going to wind up in jail for illegally plumbing federal records in order to selectively and vindictively prosecute political opponents.

That I believe is his father, who did fraudulently claim two homes as his primary residence, and was required to submit taxes he initially evaded as a result.

In the case of CPI, there is a limited window of time where prices have to be gathered, and if the people gathering those prices aren’t working, then there are no prices gathered so we can’t collect data. So that makes sense, to me.

Any shutdown of this length, regardless of who is in the WH, would cause this outcome. We can argue Trump caused the shutdown but a 40-day shutdown would result in being unable to obtain timely data, upon which these reports rely.

I get it but I look at my Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and watch the constant infill even though much of the area was originally built in 1900-1920. Within 3 blocks there many new developments including new housing built on top of existing structures and apartment buildings where parking lots were.

This is where I wish the interviewer was more rigorous in his questioning process. Too easy for Bessent to lie because Geist didn’t define the parameters or follow up when he got an evasive or false answer.
