Obama: Imagine if I had done any of this. Imagine if I had pulled Fox News’ credentials. Imagine if I had said to law firms that you will not be allowed into government buildings.

It’s unimaginable that the same parties that are silent now would have tolerated behavior like that from me

The "Liberation Day" tariff bonanza "isn’t just the biggest U.S. tariff hike in more than a century. It’s an attempt to build a new trade regime on the bedrock of his two basic policy fantasies."
Trump Calls It Liberation. It’s Destruction.
The only thing we’re being liberated from is our prosperity.

This moment in our country's history is depressing, but it's also illuminating. We're finding out, in real time, whom among those in power will hedge their bets, trade complicity for personal preservation, and retreat into cowardice in the hopes they'll be spared.

And we will remember their names.

If only the Hunter Biden pardon were the beginning of a Dark Brandon redux.

I have to think there are steps the Biden administration could take in the next 50 days to protect Americans and our foreign allies from what’s ahead—legal, reasonable steps.

I know some are being taken, but doubt all are.

I did a deep dive into Kash Patel back when I was at MSNBC, in case you’re interested. He’s a deeply strange and alarming and sycophantic figure (do you all know about the children’s book?)

Just in case you weren’t sure just how bad it’s going to be under Trump, with his selection of Patel you should now be clear about just how much pain he plans to bring to this country.

Oh, and I’ll NEVER buy that bullshit about Donald Trump’s ear being “hit” by a bullet. What a F’king joke.

The irony is not lost on me ; how this ThxGiving may actually be the last one we have as a fully democratic country - the holiday literally based on a great big lie (how we made ‘friends’ with the First Nation) - while pillaging the country and their entire race. Sound familiar ?

In that case, yes — you are in fact, above the law.
