As historical romance novels go, the Bridgerton series isn't the best (imo) but they probably have more humor than most. I'm a little down on the Bridgerton tv series at the moment because they are completely changing my favorite novel (Francesca's) in a way to make it unrecognizable to the book.

I'm surprised that you haven't seen any of the many Pride and Prejudice movies during your lifetime. My #1 comfort show is the 1995 BBC version of P&P (which is very faithful to the book).

Such good news from Wisconsin. On a smaller scale my city (2nd largest in IL) voted out our Trump-loving mayor. The mayoral election is listed as nonpartisan & its likely many citizens didn't know his affiliation until he sent out Irvin/Trump campaign fliers & made ads about the evils of "wokeness".

I never met him and still miss seeing his sweet pics. I came across a picture of Cooper and Sydney the other day and also got teary so I understand how you feel. I'm glad we each have new beagles to love on now, though. I'm sure it's what our old guys and gal would have wanted for us.

I was actually talking to my neighbor this past weekend about how the media & influencers on SM needed to start reporting that T was weak/musk was actually in charge in an effort to at least get musk out of the govt.(Still hoping that a Big Mac lures the grim reaper into paying T a visit very soon.)

From that perspective, Westley looks almost as big as Zola. How numb were your legs? Until this month, I was worried that Tucker wouldn't be a cuddler, but now he's basically velcroed to me.

Current temp here is 0 (feels like -15) but I'm fortunate to not have to be outside except to take the pup out (he takes care of business quickly in these temps). We have the advantage of no snow at least. Tomorrow's high temp is 25 & that will feel downright balmy by comparison.

Ugh. I haven't signed into my actual FB acct since early 2017 (can't even remember my pw) & only have the other account for BBH, but it's been a while since I posted there, so it won't be hard to give that up.

Since the election,I've spent only a few minutes per day on SM in an effort to avoid as much as I can about the asshat. I just can't deal with another 4 yrs of him being the focus of every news story 24/7. I never had TT so it doesn't impact me, but is Zuck buying it after the A-hole "saves" it?
