A decade ago today I came home from my second deployment to Afghanistan. A little group of us flew home civilian and I got the tube back from Heathrow stinking and lugging my day sack. I cried for about 3 hours when I got home then went back to work a couple days later. I couldn’t stand the silence.

I don’t understand the quantification of decision making at all. Especially statements like this which strikes me as madness. Who goes through life trying to discern statistical rules? This is taken from Tversky and Kahneman 1974
